It was founded by a group of notable personalities on the 5th of April, 1964. It is a non-political, independent Islamic institution established to promote, especially among children and young men, an intelligent and active appreciation of the basic Islamic principles and virtues, develop unity and solidarity among Muslims, manage a mosque and other ancillary structures for religious gatherings, provide community and research facilities aimed at understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-e-Bayt (AS), and supporting the underprivileged members of the Community.
