Funds

Relief Funds

Relief Funds are established by the Anjuman from time to time to help victims of a specific natural or manmade disaster that may occur in an area. These are usually temporary, restricted funds established specifically for the purpose of helping victims of a disaster in meeting expenses for emergency response, relief and rehabilitation following a disaster. A Disaster is defined in this context as a calamity or grave occurrence in an area arising from natural or manmade causes, or by accident or negligence, which results in substantial loss of life or human suffering or damage or destruction of property, or degradation of environment; and is of such a nature or magnitude as to be beyond the coping capacity of the community of the affected area. As and when such disasters occur, Anjuman makes a specific appeal for raising relief funds.
