Our services encompass a comprehensive range of support for various life events and religious practices in accordance with Shia Islamic principles. We provide matrimonial services including advice on Islamic rules and regulations for marriage, necessary documentation, and assistance in Nikah registration and ceremonies, with financial aid available for those in need. Our mortuary and funeral services offer guidance and arrangements for Shia Islamic funeral rites, including Ghusal-e-Mayyat, Kafan, and funeral prayers, with an onsite mortuary available. For newborns, we provide advice on rites and rituals such as Adhan, Aqiqah, and circumcision, along with scholarly naming guidance. We also perform Istikhara for those seeking divine guidance and offer assistance with Qurbani, Sadqa, and Aqiqah animal selection and slaughter, ensuring all practices adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
MatrimonialService
The Children’s Quranic Program is conducted at the Children’s Quranic Center, for children of age 6 to 12 years. It has a capacity to accommodate up to 60 children at a time and is equipped with modern learning tools and teaching aids. Using electronic multimedia and computers, the Teacher educates children through audiovisual presentations and interactive discussions. The goal is to simplify Islamic concepts and make Quranic lessons interesting and easy to understand thus improving comprehension and retention among children.
Both boys and girls of 6 to 12 years are eligible to enroll in the Program, which comprises of study levels suitable for each age group. The Children’s Research Program endeavors to provide the right guidance, learning and education to children using authentic material and educational resources needed to meet the requirements of the syllabi set by the Teacher. The Program is geared towards teaching our children fundamentals of Islam in light of the teachings and correct interpretation of Quran and Sunnah of our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Ahl-e-Bayt (AS).
Matrimonial Services
Advice on Islamic rules and regulations for marriage, availability of necessary Nikah documentation, recommending or arranging the Imam, assistance in Nikah registration and formalities are provided. Arrangements can also be made for holding of Nikah ceremony, if required. In case of a poor candidate unable to finance the marriage ceremony, subject to proper due diligence and authentication, Anjuman may assist in providing financial assistance as appropriate.
Mortuary & Funeral
Advice and arrangements for funeral and burial rites in accordance with Shia Islamic methodology are provided at the Mohammadi Mosque. Scholars, well-versed in the subject, provide advice, guidance and facilitation in planning a funeral so that people can make the right choices for Janazza according to their wishes. An onsite mortuary is available in case the dead body needs to be preserved for some time on request of family members. Arrangements can also be made to assist the family members in Ghusal-e-Mayyat, Kafan arrangements, funeral prayers, Talqeen, rites and rituals. Care is taken, at all times, that the whole process is conducted with utmost sensitivity, and in accordance with Shia Islamic Sharia and best practices of hygiene, cleanliness, safety and simplicity.
Birth Rituals
Advice and guidance is provided on rites, rituals and supplications for a newborn under Shia Islam in line with the teachings and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-e-Bayt (AS). Scholarly advice on naming the newborn girls and boys is also provided. Arrangements are also made to assist the parents or family members in birth rites and rituals for the new born such as Adhan, Duas, Aqiqah, circumcision, shaving of the head etc.
Istikhara Services
For persons seeking divine guidance from Allah on various personal matters, Istikhara is performed by expert scholars in accordance with the rules and methodology prescribed under Shia Islamic law and code of ethics.
Qurbani / Sadqa
Advice on the selection and/or arrangement of animals for Eid-ul-Adha, Sadqa and/or Aqiqah, and their slaughter according to the rules prescribed under Shia Islam, is provided at Mohammadi Mosque. The process is carried out following best practices of hygiene, cleanliness and safety, under all circumstances.
